How to use clove oil?
Since ancient time, our ancestors knew very well the benefits of clove essential oil. They know how to use clove oil for daily survivals.
Clove is one of the most powerful natural antiseptic oils. it is very high in eugenol and phenol, which have incredible health benefits. Clove essential oil is antimicrobial, expectorant, antiseptic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-fungal. This is an amazing essential oil that is well worth keeping in your natural remedy collection.
1. For nausea and vomiting
Pregnant women suffering from morning sickness can put 2-3 drops clove oil on the pillow or diffuse it with few drops of peppermint.
2. Protection from insects
The pungent smell of clove will deter insects including mosquitoes.
Diffuse a mixture of 8-10 drops clove oil with 8-10 drops of lemongrass
oil will ward off insects.
3. Combats fatigue
Clove oil is an energy booster. It is also a blood thinner. Diffuse clove oil, or dilute 3-5 drops with a teaspoon of carrier oil on massage the reflex points. Or add a few drops into the bathwater to relieve muscle fatigue after a tiring day.
4. Controls acne
Always dilute clove oil before applying it to the skin because clove oil is highly potent and can burn your skin. Mix just 1-2 drops of clove oil in 1 tablespoon rosehip seed oil or jojoba oil and gently massaging it with your fingertips. Clove oil will penetrate deep into the pores and clear out the infection. It may take few weeks before the skin heals completely.
5. Muscle pain
Put 5-10 drops of clove and 5-10 drops of rosemary in 50 ml almond oil or olive oil. Massage the mixture into the area where you are feeling the pain.
6. Vagina infection due to yeast
Yeast infection can cause redness, itchiness and burning, which is uncomfortable. It can be treated by diluting 5-10 drops of clove oil in 1 liter of water, shake well and use it as a douche.
For direct application, dilute 5-10 drops of clove oil in 30 ml jojoba oil or coconut oil.
7. Alleviate headache
Clove oil aromatherapy can be used to relieve headache pain, too. Put 5 to 10 drops of the oil in your diffuser and run it for 30 to 60 minutes.
8. Stop toothache
Put a few drops of clove oil on a cotton ball and hold the cotton ball on the sore tooth for 10-15 minutes. Pain relief will be almost immediate.For this purpose, you can use clove oil undiluted but make sure you are using organic food-grade clove essential oil.
9. For coughing
For relief from asthma: add 5 to 8 drops of clove oil to your diffuser and run it for 30 to 60 minutes at a time. You can take a few deep breaths of the vapors when you first turn on your diffuser to get fast relief. Breathe them in through your nose and out through your mouth.
For relief of sore chest muscles from coughing: mix 2-3 drops of clove oil into 1 teaspoon of carrier oil like coconut oil, jojoba oil then gently massage it into your chest and throat.
10. Improve sex life
Clove oil is a natural aphrodisiac that relaxes and warms the body but it also acts as a stimulant. Its ability to prevent PE, or premature ejaculation, makes this incredible benefit even better. You can use 2-3 drops clove oil per teaspoon of carrier oil. Massage it into the back of your neck, shoulders and lower back. Clove oil aromatherapy also works.
11.Controls blood sugar level
Clove oil contains phenols which help the body regukate glucose and insulin. Add 2 drops of cinnamon oil and 2 drops of clove oil into 1 tablespoon of carrier oil, massage the blend into your feet and hands to relieve numbness and discomfort.
